This is a neighbourhood haunt for good soup and sandwiches with salads and bagels and baked goods and coffees and teas thrown in for good measure. The setting is basic with plenty of mismatched chairs and tables and secondhand books all  around to make the setting a bit more homey. The quality and service are high. And as you build your own sandwich from a wide variety of choices, if the food isn’t good, you probably have yourself to blame.
