This first part of this review is about finding this restaurant. We had been to Banff with the extended Vancouver/Edinburgh family, and were in the everybody-wants-something different mood. We stopped in Canmore to buy shoes, and Shawn and Grant sat on a bench outside the store looking through our list of Canmore eateries. They came to Blake, but had no address for it. And while Grant was looking that up on the internet, Shawn pointed across the street, and said, “There it is.” And so it was.
The menu was broad enough to fill all our various needs and, although the rating spread was wide, the general consensus was that this is a place worth visiting. In style, they say they are “chic and modern”. And they are. And in the area of service, they are welcoming and patient. So, no matter what type of food you are seeking, we would suggest that you give this place a try.
They even have both cream and plant based ice cream. And their glasses, which you can buy there, are unique.
