One of our major complaints with Thai restaurants is the minusculicity of the portions. This has led to ordering many small dishes and not really getting an adequate taste of any one ot them, or ordering a number of duplicate dishes which seems foolish. And above all, our economy of scale tells us that many tiny dishes are usually not as economical as one or two large ones. Juree's has solved our dilemma. The food is fresh, well–spiced, well–cooked, well–presented, and the dishes are large enough to enjoy thoroughly. Do be sure to order adequate coconut rice, as the sauces are exquisite. The only questionable practice is that at the far back of the menu one finds burgers, Greek salads and such for non–Thai eaters. I warn you now that when we open our restaurant, if you don't like the food we serve, there will be no other choices other than going hungry, which is, of course, a choice in itself.
However, even though we love Juree’s when ordering from the menu , we love the buffet, not so much. Unfortunately it suffers from SSS (same–sauce syndrome), making all the dishes somewhat similar. For a lunch buffet, it is filling and reasonably priced. But it could be placed safely beside many similar spreads throughout the city.
Good vegetarian selection.
