Founded in Devner in 2007, smashburger has grown rapidly worldwide, having locations from Saudi Arabia to Costa Rica; though they are now owned by the Philippine food giant Jollibee Foods Corporation. Their speciality is quick cooked beef, chicken or black bean burgers on a hot flatiron grill. The menu differes slightly form location to location as licensees are allowed to create special burgers for their own locale. Yes, we have a Calgary burger here. They also have bottomless soft drinks, shakes and beer. The locations are bright and spacious. And the staff even pick up your trays at the table.
