The setting: clean and contemporary. The staff: friendly. The food: Fresh. So far it sounds inviting. Unfortunately this is a prime example of simply trying too hard. It is as if each dish began with the question, “What can we do differently?”. Rather than, “What can we do well?” In all of our selections there were just too many flavours pulling our taste buds in too many directions. A good example was the meat ball hot-pot. The meat balls would have been fine on their own, but there was a curry soup base underneath which didn’t seem to penetrate the accompnaying vegetables at all, so you ended up with three items in one dish that didn’t really connect.
