One thing that amazes many when they first arrive in Calgary is how many Danish people they encounter. Of course, what they are really experiencing is the reality that so many Calgarians have become honorary Danes through their involvement in the Danish Canadian Club. Over the years this has proven to be a popular place to hold business lunches and to gather for dinner, Saturday brunch or even some major celebrations. Yes, it is a private club, but joining is not difficult—basically show up and pay. Lunch is a most popular time, especially with free parking on both sides of the building.
The rating numbers above show we were not enthusiastic about this establishment, but don’t pass judgement yet. There is a new Lunch menu of open–faced Danish—of course—sandwiches, and a more traditional Saturday brunch. We hope to get back there soon to see if the ratings change
