Just off 17 Avenue SW, in a site our old friend, “Sauce" used to occupy, this space, now refreshed and renewed, is called Lusi. And it is good, with large portions that avoid the tomato-or-white-sauce-on-everything syndrome, that so pollutes so many Italian places. There are dishes to suit every taste, and the services is friendly and fast. This place is definitely worth a visit.
In a delightful piece of “coincidence”—shall we call it—they offered us a “test” salad from the lunch menu. It was pear based. During a visit to Florence, we fell in love with a small eatery just off San Marco Square. And that delight sprang largely from an Italian pear salad. And this place is far easier to get to than Firenze.
