First, a little bit of humour. They close midafternoon, but the sign outside said “Breakfast All Day". Now, they are a breakfast diner, and we did realize that, so we did understand the sign. But nonetheless, it did make us smile. And with a smile is the perfect way to enter this bright, friendly space. The food was very good, with both the expected breakfast and lunch classics, and some new twists. The milkshakes were home made, with the extra ice cream coming in the traditional metal cup as a side dish. (Yes, they know what they’re doing.)
Do expect line ups, especially on the weekends, though below you will find a way to check on the wait time.
Note: You can almost always take our reviews at face value, but here they may be a bit of wiggle room to a higher rating. Just as we came in to a moderately busy lunch hour, they received a $600 takeout order. And we must say it was wonderful to watch the suddenly overwhelmed staff take it all in stride and get the food out there, while still remembering we folk at the tables. This means, however, that maybe some of the trivial failings we experienced may not be permanent features of the cuisine. (For example, Grant found the hash brown a little less brown than he likes.) With this in mind, we’ll return soon to get perhaps a more honest look on a more normal day.

Good vegetarian and vegan selections
