Good German food is hard to find around here; excellent German cuisine is even rarer. And this food is excellent. This family-run restaurant is small, and friendly, with a rather cowboy-German decor that suits it perfectly. The menu is not large, but with a wide enough range that everyone should find something to their taste without being caught in the everything is schnitzel syndrome that haunts so many German eating places. We highly recommend it. And with the improved highway network in the area, it is actually faster to get to for us in Marda Loop than many of our far northeast favourites, so don’t let the perceived distance to beautiful downtown Bragg Creek discourage you from trying it.
